OUR TAP CLASSES

Our tap dance classes are designed to spark joy, build confidence, and develop rhythm in a fun, supportive environment. With small class sizes and certified instructors, each child gets the attention they need to grow and thrive. Whether they're brand new to dance or full of energy and ready to move, our program helps kids build coordination, musicality, and self-expression—one step at a time.

Limited Class Sizes: We keep our tap classes small — so every dancer gets the attention, support, and space they need to grow.

Certified Instructors: Our tap teachers are fully certified in both the ADAPT Syllabus and the Tap Roots Syllabus, bringing structure, creativity, and expert guidance to every class.

Performance Opportunities: Every student gets to shine on stage at our annual spring showcase each April — a chance to celebrate their progress and perform for family and friends!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What ages can join tap classes?

Tap is open to kids ages 4 and up! We group students by age and experience to keep things fun and appropriate for their level.

2. Does my child need experience to join?

Not at all! We welcome beginners. Our certified instructors will guide them step-by-step.

3. What should my child wear?

A fitted t-shirt or top, leggings or shorts, and tap shoes. (We can help you find a pair!)

4. Do you offer a free trial?

Even better — September is free for all new tap dancers! It’s a great way to try it out.

5. What if we try it and it’s not a fit?

No worries! We want every dancer to love their experience. You can cancel anytime before the end of September with no charge.

6. When do tap classes take place?

Our tap classes run on Wednesday evenings from September to April.

7. Do I need to purchase a costume for the Showcase?

Nope! Parents don’t need to purchase a costume!

Dorian Pearce

Dorian Pearce has been teaching dance in Pembroke since 2016, and tap has always been one of his greatest passions. With certifications in both the ADAPT Tap Syllabus and the Tap Roots Syllabus, Dorian brings strong technique, musicality, and creativity into every class.

He started dancing at age four and has spent years refining his skills through both performance and teacher training. Known for his high standards, upbeat energy, and supportive coaching style, Dorian has helped many students earn top exam results and shine on stage.

Dorian’s goal is simple: to help every dancer find their rhythm, grow their confidence, and have a blast doing it. Whether your child is brand new or ready to take their tap skills to the next level, they’ll be in great hands with Coach Dorian.
